International shipments may be subject to customs inspection and import requirements in the destination country.

Unless specifically stated otherwise during checkout, the customer is responsible for destination-country:

• import duties;
• customs duties;
• import VAT;
• GST;
• local taxes;
• brokerage fees;
• customs-clearance fees; and
• similar charges.

Customs legislation varies between countries.

Customers should check local import requirements before ordering regulated items, particularly:

• antiques;
• cultural objects;
• precious metals;
• jewelry;
• products containing animal-derived materials;
• ivory or ivory-like materials;
• coral;
• certain shells;
• certain woods; and
• other regulated materials.

Orient Art & Antiques reserves the right to cancel an order where we reasonably determine that shipment would violate applicable export, import, sanctions, customs, carrier, or other legal requirements.

If we cancel an order for such a reason before shipment, payments received for the cancelled order will be refunded.
