Original antique French stereoview card from the S.I.P. “Les Cartes” series, dating to the early 20th century.

The scene shows two elegantly dressed women seated at a table playing cards in a richly furnished interior. The paired photographs were designed to be viewed through a stereoscope to create a three-dimensional image.

A particularly attractive feature is the selective period hand-coloring, with yellow and other subtle tinted details applied to the clothing, shoes, furnishings, flowers and decorative elements. These hand-tinted accents give the card much more visual presence than a standard monochrome stereoview.
